With more than four centuries of history, Tucumán is one of the main protagonists of many historical events of our country such as the birth of independence and the great battle of 24th September 1812 when the Spanish Army was forced to leave the country.
Some of the historical buildings we can find here are: “La Plaza de la Independencia” (The Independence Square), “La Casa de Gobierno” (The Main Government Building), “La Casita de Tucumán” which is a historical house where Independence was declared on 9th July 1816 as well as many other museums that preserve great part of the culture and history of the country.
